Angry mob of students kill man who stubbed his girlfriend to death.

Sharon posing at the University Education complex
Egerton University students are saddened by the demise of one of their own. Sharon was pursuing her degree in history and religion student and she comes from Kakamega County.

The assailant was her own boyfriend who was later murdered by an angry mob of students. The two had been cohabating near Hesi, at rental house near the Njokerio shopping center. Friends and neighbors say that the two have been having frequent arguments and confrontations.

The crowd couldn't help rescue Sharon as she was appealing for their help via their house window. The house strong doors and window grills made it hard for the crowd to break-in in time. They had no chance but to witness the assailant repeatedly stub his girlfriend with a knife until she passed away.

The crowd later managed to break in but one life was already lost. The assailant then fearing his life, threatened the life of their baby with a knife. A contention occurred that led to the man being beaten by the mob.
Police arrived at the scene late and took control of situation but all was lost. The man died in the process.

Sharon and her boyfriend

The two have left behind a two year old baby.

Fellow students have expressed their anger and condemned the act. Ladies are urged to avoid indulging in unfruitful relationships and everyone should concentrate in their studies. They should bring good news to their parents because many are carrying their families hope.

The matter is under investigation and students are warned from sharing images of the victims.

Such cases are caused by people possessed by evil spirits. Comrade pray for God's guidance in your relationships.

SUICIDE? Lake Elementaita residents looses one of its own.

Today Tuesday 10th November 2015, Lake Elementaita residents sleep was brought to a stand still after an attempted suicide by Mr Bonface Mwanzia.

The late Mr Bonface Mwanzia was a second year student pursuing a degree in Economics and Statistics. He was a stroke 12 (/12) who had deferred his course due to drug addiction and he just resumed his studies this academic year, 2015/2016.  It is rumored that he was at a rehabilitation center during his deferment.
Room mates of the deceased narrated how he frequently asked them strange questions about death:

Mtu akitaka kukufufa anafanyaje?

Mtu akikufa anaiskiaje?

Ukitaka ku-defer unafanyaje?
...

They were shocked to find out that lad who was shouting yesternight painfully was their roommate. He is believed to have jumped from Lake Elementaita rooftop after a meditation(drug use).

The hostel residents at first thought he was a drunkard and some even wanted to  beat him. But when they realised he was injured(He had broken one leg), they again suspected he was a thief who may have fallen while trying to maneuver the windows.

read also Maweu And Amisi Defer In Public.

There was no sign high impact fall since the scene had small blood spot. He was unconscious and he couldn't recognise his names or room and therefore helping him was difficult.
He was then rushed him to Nakuru hospital where he passed away. Investigation is still going on and we are still waiting for an official statement from the security department.

"You are cowards! You don't support your SUEU leaders" an angry student laments

This post pinned from our mail. From one among you.

Concerning the sueu election. we might say we want a leader who will support comrades bt lets look just be realistic. when Ongoma was expelled. I'm told comrades just kept quiet as they watched him going home yet he really struggled to see comrades happy. there is no need to lie each other that we want leaders who will help us yet we can't stand with them when they are made to account for our actions. leaders we will elect will feel afraid to fight for us coz they know we ain't supportive. We should just accept we are cowards n hence we can't fight for our rights. if we were United comrades n daring. Ongoma couldn't have been expelled. .......therefore voting for sueu is only bt useless till the day Egerton will have a new revolution

Drama as professor Munene turns tables during VC interview, Omwamba reports

Yesterday was a long, long awaited day for Egerton society (both students and management). Interviews for the Vice Chancellor's post kicked off well in the morning with everyone keenly following to hear the proceedings for two of our own who have continually shown their interest in the students among the list shortlisted Professor Kahi and Proffessor Rose Munya only for Proffessor Njenga Munene DVC Administration and Finance to turn tables around seeking a court order to stop the process citing biasness and lack of transparency which we all know was not the case..

As the students, we might be wrong and we have always stood to be corrected, for a serious post like this which is equal to a CEO of an institution which literally runs the whole University, do we need prowess in research, a good academician or a good administrator? Well, it comes as a package but most importantly a good administrator which Munene Njenga did not qualify.

My dictionary defines an administrator as the person who governs exercising of authority (yet he over-exercised his authority as the acting Vice Chancellor during Ongoma's case by overruling a two years suspension to an expulsion), that person who manages affairs of a group especially the groups business whom in this case are the students.

Comrades, we have walked in offices seeking that students be allowed to register with 60% or atleast be give rooms as we wait for helb loan disbursement, speaking out for the needy students who only depend on bursaries and sponsorships, don't even imagine how many times we were frustrated by his office claiming that regardless of the situation University statutes say that students should complete paying their school fees before end of two weeks. In short,

Prof Munene does not believe in fairness, he calls it biasness instead, he does not bend a law to favor the majority when there is need (students in this case), instead he believes that even in democracy rules must be followed.

So, do we need an implementer of University statutes or a students centered Vice Chancellor? The answer is obvious. Yes, Munene can make a really good researcher a good academician but not good for the welfare of the students. Egerton has had enough, students have suffered enough, all we need is new Vice Chancellor as early as yesterday. Any delays even if it's for a day, is justice delayed to comrades.

We are already late for development, we do not have time for court cases. When a student is wrong, administration always take action, this time round an administrator is wrong, do not allow comrades to take action on you. For comrades to enjoy, this pettiness has to stop, all we need is a new dawn for Egerton. I rest my case!

Video Producer Young WallacePens down a letter: DEAR GROOVE AWARDS:

A few years back, gospel had dominated the music industry as compared to secular. This is why.....Secular industry back then had key figures who were termed as the big fish who were the only ones controlling the airwaves. It wasn't accommodating new talent and that was the cancer that was killing the industry slowly. As the big fish were busy blocking the new artists from making it to the airwaves, the gospel side was busy nurturing new talent with the likes of Rufftone and the few. Which gave birth to the new generation of the gospel industry. So as thesecular side was busy dying, gospel was busy multiplying and feeling the airwaves with fresh vybes.Right now, unfortunately, it's the other way round for the gospel industry.

THE RETURN OF BEVERLYN(BUSTED 3) PART II

The deafening university' ambulance siren pierced through my ears.

I sat in the rear compartment of the ambulance staring Joy's body as the two nurses gave her a precautionery first aid.
The speed and swinging of the ambulance made her body to shake with intense.
Her face still glowed with passion.

I bit my lower lip and swallowed bitterly.
I wondered why Beverlyn had to do such demonic act to a peaceful and kind woman like Joy.

I glanced at the wrist band on her left hand and memories of first day of the semester trickled down my minds. Moulds of tears formed in my eyes. I wished i were the one who had been stubbed instead.

I remember vividly it was on a Monday when i arrived back to Egerton from home.

Joy was already there earlier that day.
Throughout the journey she textd informing me how the two weeks break was long and boring..
She wanted me madily. I had missed her too.

Her words communicated and expressed her in undying love towards me.
She constantly made me to fall in love from time to time, again and again whenever we chatted.

After 8hours of drive, i arrived in school at around 6pm.
Like aperson who knew i had just arrived she called and with a lovly voice she poised,

"Hey swthrt, you mean you are not yet?"
"Here i am babycake, just about to take a taxi to school." i softly answered smiling all along.
"Wow! U mean...ah..u mean you are around? Ooh my boo, i cant wait to see you swthrt,Marish 49." she happily said as she disconected the call.

All i could do was smile and shook my head.

Joy was a real woman who knew how to love and make a man go nuts.
Withing no time, i was infront of her room.
I knocked softly at door and stabilized myself for i knew she would jump over me. Hehe.

The room was silent and no response came from inside.
I pushed the door open and crept inside.
I was welcomed by the sweet aroma of fried rice and chicken.
My mouth was full of saliva and my taste buds were leaky !
Joy had already known rice was my favourite meal.

I shut the door and quickly sunk into my suitcase, i took out a lovly red tedybear, wrapped it in her pink sleeping dress and hid it in her suitcase below the bed.
I then sat back waiting for her to come as i fed on the sweet aroma! Joy was the best cook definately.

After a short moment, the door opened suddenly and behold there she was!
Her head covered in a black stockings, a towel wrapped around her angelic figured body and fell just above her knees.
Her body was dripping wet with water. She was coming from the shower.

"Ooh,oh, oh, sweet intruder in my room," she joked as her lips drew a crazining smile that created the two lovly dimples on her cheecks.

"Look at you, loved one, when did you become a stripper?" i joked as i moved towards her.

With her left hand holding the towel against her body near the armpit she smiled and said,
" Highly corrosive dont touch,"
in one fold, we bursted into laughter!
Soon, Joy was in my arms, she tightly hugged against my body with her wet body.

The smell of her skin made goose bumps to erect all over my body.

"Bebie? Food or your woman first?" she asked softly.
"Ah, ah, i think.." before i could answer she interrupted me,
"Am going to give you choices and plz choose one, hehe,
A.(Your woman)
B. (A)"
I just bursted into laughter as i detached from her.

For sure Joy was a realy fun.
And guess what?

To be continued in part III
