The social media has been abuzz with a leaked explicit track dubbed, “Kudinyana”, a collaboration between Collo and STL.
According to the award winning rapper, STL, the song was not meant to be released. She claims that it was just a freestyle battle between her and Collo, when they were recording their hit single, “Floss na Wewe.” The infamous track was not supposed to leave the studio and she regrets for the damaged caused.
Here is what she had to say; The Leaked content that has Stella Mwangi and Collo's vocals was a studio session that went down last year around November-December at Bernsoft Studio. The producer Big Soul, Stella Mwangi, Collo and Mimmo were working on a record - "Floss Na Wewe". This content should never have left his studio because it's not an official record neither was it a project/work-in-progress.
What you're hearing on the leak is two creative minds jamming to a beat before sitting down to create an actual record. We had agreed to delete this content after recording it but clearly that did not happen.
Hence the leak.
Stella Mwangi does not intend to pursue this matter legally with the producer, neither does Collo. They also want to make it clear that they do not have anything to do with
the explicit video that has been posted on Youtube.
It's unfortunate that some of Stella's and Collo's fans are heartbroken. Please understand that the content in Stella
Mwangi's and Collo's records and their reputations from the time they started music until now has been that of promoting art, and that it has always adhered to the rules and regulations set by the Music Copyright Society of Kenya regarding social responsibility.
To the loyal fan's, Stella Mwangi said and I quote "Collo and I owe you one big record next year, don't give up on us just yet."
