Six students who studied law in Uganda want the Chief Executive of the Kenya School of Law (KSL) PLO Lumumba committed to civil jail for contempt of court.
The students - Juliet Njoroge, Vincent Owuor, Solomon Ngari, Anthony Elaini, Elizabeth Were and Kevin Akonya - also want the Chief Executive of the Council of Legal Education jailed.
In their filed application, the students want the court to order the two officers to personally pay costs for contempt of court.
They have argued that three months after the High Court ruled and ordered the two officers to readmit them to the law school, this has not happened.
Through lawyer Steven Nzaku, the students submitted that they had served the CEO of the law school and the Secretary of the Council of Legal Education with the court order demanding their readmission.
"Since serving the court order, the students have tried without success to access the institution. The CEO has continued to bar the students from lawfully attending classes," submitted the lawyer.
Mr Nzaku added that Dr Lumumba has been using his office to frustrate the students.
