Moi University Law School closed indefinately

An internal memo sent by Prof. Mibey has indefinitely suspended academic activities at the Law School. The Vice Chancellor said the School has been closed due to lecturers not teaching for the last two weeks.

“Students are therefore advised to vacate the University by 12.00 noon today,” states the memo.
There has been tension in the last few days after some students announced they will go on hunger strike until
the lecturers resolve the issues with the university administration.
Police were seen hovering outside the School’s entrance ready to evict students who had vowed to resist any attempts to close the law school. Law students say they have barely been taught in the last one month as the lecturers and the administration take hard line stands over the tutors pay increase.
